This year’s holiday was a pretty good one. I got everything I wanted (cash to buy what I want). I need to get back on track today though, I have ate like a horse for the past few days. Over at my aunt in-law’s house on Christmas eve, and the cousin made festive looking drinks with green and red everything, it was green apple flavored vodka with 7up in it and cherries and Twizzlers to make it extra festive. She ended up rimming the glasses with the decorative sugar that you use for cookies and stuff, it was cool I will have to see if I can get a picture from her.
Travel Tampa

When I go to Florida usually I stay in New Port Richie, which is about an hour away from Tampa. Last year when I went I traveled all around Tampa. I went to the Florida Aquarium which was awesome, they had excellent displays of the different aquatic life forms, and they also have a dolphin tour available that I was not on time to actually participate in. I also checked out the Lowry park zoo, because I love animals and that was a blast! I got some amazing photos of some of the animals there and it is an experience that I will never forget. Tampa is a gorgeous place to visit and there are tons of things to do there, whether you are an animal person like me, or just like to sight see or even just love the nightlife. Sniffles?

Last year when I got sick my husband gave me a drink to help me breathe and feel a little bit better. He called a hot toddy, but I am not sure what it all had in it! Whatever it was actually helped a little, my sinuses got clearer for a little while and I did not feel so dumpy. I found a recipe for a hot drink that may be close to whatever that was, so if you want a drink that might make you feel a little better try this!:
Cognac toddy
1-2 oz cognac or brandy
1 lemon
hot tea
Pour cognac or brandy into a highball or coffee glass.
Squeeze a lemon over the booze.
Put a table spoon in the glass to lead of the heat and then pour the tea.
Add sugar to taste.
Florida Getaway

It is about that time of year again where I get antsy to go on vacation to get out of the nasty cold weather. I love traveling to Florida because it is so pretty there when it is so nasty everywhere else! I found a really cool Lodging Special for a bed and breakfast at Amelia Island where if you buy 2 nights you get the third one free! The deal is only good until February 29th 2008, but the best time to go to Florida is in January or February anyways. It is great when you go to take off in the airplane and they say what the temperature is in Florida!
I have noticed whenever I travel to Florida during the winter, I get much needed sunshine which helps me feel better in general. A couple months of this gray and rainy weather can really get a person down, so if you feel the way that I do it is a great time to book your stay on Amelia Island to get some much needed sunshine and outdoor activities! There is a lot to do on the island, but even if you just want to go there to enjoy the weather that is great too. I want to get in on this deal so I can get out of here!
Oh My Goodness!

It has been raining here all day, but it is just about cold enough for the roads to freeze over because of it. This is when for some reason everyone in my state forgets how to drive, you know like we have never had this kind of weather before. I am staying inside today because I do not want to go out on the road with all of the crazy people! It is bad enough that the roads are busy because of Christmas shoppers.

You know me I am always shopping for the best and most unique gifts, whether it is Christmas time or not. I will include a picture of it at the end of the post, but it is so beautiful and like nothing that I have ever seen before! Jewelry is one great part of the site but there is much more to look at. Decorating Trees

I got my Christmas tree decorated tonight and the cat already started assaulting it, so basically the bottom third of the tree is going to remain undecorated so that the cat will not break my ornaments. Other than that it looks nice from the bottom up, it is really sparkly and all I use is purple and silver on it, with lots of garland so it looks really good in the dark. I am happy that part is over with, but now I am wary of putting my Christmas presents under there because the cat may feel the need to mess those up as well.
