I got a letter today from some place called “GCI or Global Concept Inc.” and they sent me a really real looking check for like 4 grand. OK I might be silly but I am not stupid. I am almost positive it was a way to get my phone number for a bill collection company. I did a BBB (Better Business Bureau) search on this company and it was not listed. I am angry because they really think that I am going to fall for something like this. You’re not getting my phone number ever again because you people harass me!

7 Weeks and Counting

I only have 7 more weeks of school until I get the entire summer off. I cannot wait because I have a lot of things that need to be done since I have slacked so much while going to school. I need to get my house back up to par and spend some time with family that I have not seen in awhile. I also want to go on a trip somewhere nice. I can’t wait for this school year to be over.

Career Week

This week in school we had to explore in depth what kind of career we want out of our degrees. I came upon the sad realization that my degree is going to be pretty worthless, so I am going to have to go to school for longer than I had planned on. Any job that I wanted to get with my degree required at least a bachelor’s degree and usually required a master’s degree. I am a bit confused on what to do now. I guess I will just have to see what happens.

I just did an assignment for my business class and I was asked what kind of sites do I use for school purposes. I just wanted to point out that How Stuff Works (.com) is an awesome site to get information from, not only for school but just for general knowledge. This is why the Internet is so awesome, everything that you want to know (or almost anything anyways) can be found with the clicks of a few buttons. I am so glad that they let you apply for your student aid online now because it is so much easier than filling out the paperwork. I just got done applying for next year, and it was even more easy than before because they let me pre-fill in information from last year, so it already had everything but my income questions already filled out. Just make sure to have your forms in as soon as possible so that you can get all of the benefits that are available to you. I should have had mine done earlier, but my tax return was taking forever to fill out.

I was surfing around last night and I found a cool website that lets you watch many different cams across the country and they are actually live! One of the funny ones that I saw was a tax day cam, it is a cam that is pointed at NYC’s main post office. There should be a lot of people running in there today to ensure that they are not late paying their dues to Uncle Sam! There are other nifty cams on the site too, but since it is tax day I figured I would check this one out. Make sure you get in your taxes today! This Dog

My dog is driving me insane! She ripped out her chain the other day and my husband is currently outside putting it back together. She does not like it when one of us is outside and she is not so she is running back and forth and back and forth and it is driving me nuts. It is a beautiful day outside today so she will for sure be going out, but it is hard to reason with an animal :) I will post a picture of my dorky dog, I have a pretty funny one sitting here somewhere.
