Memorial Day Weekend
May 23, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
For those of you that are hosting something fun this weekend I wanted to provide a recipe (of sorts) for a patriotic looking drink.

The hardest part would be layering it perfect. The ingredients are:
1 part Grenadine
1 Part Peach Schnapps1 part Blue curaçao
Layer the drink in that order! This shot should be a hit at this weekend’s parties!
Dr. Jeckyl and Mrs. Bride
May 20, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
It is that time of year again, when we get invitations to peoples (snore) weddings. Don’t get me wrong, I am a sucker for the receptions they are always so much fun! The weddings themselves are usually a real bore though. The most fun thing to me about weddings is seeing the brides freak out beforehand. I am not sure where the “perfect wedding dream” comes from, but every woman wants it. Everything is supposed to be “perfect” and when it is not this way, they often become BRIDEZILLAS!
The best thing to do is plan your wedding ahead of time so that you have time to change things and find exactly what you want. Plan everything to the letter and start off with the perfect wedding invitations. You can find really great wedding invitations at 1st Class Wedding Invitations. The site offers a Zoom feature that no other site offers so that you can inspect the invitation closely before you order it so that you can see every detail perfectly to ensure that there will not be a Dr. Jeckyl and Mrs. Bride effect when the invitations come in. I have seen invitations be the beginning of a poorly planned wedding, so make sure to go where you can get the best wedding invitations possible. If it were my wedding I would pick the Mocha Pocket and Bow Wedding Invitation, but since it is not mine go pick out your favorite at www.1st-class-wedding-invitations.com!
Rebates
May 20, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
I bought a memory card for my camera right after Christmas. The memory card had a $7.00 rebate with it that I actually sent in. I do not usually send them in because I usually do not get them back when I actually bother. I just got this rebate in the mail the other day for $7.00, it was kind of nice because I had totally forgotten about it, but at the same time it is like why would it take a company so long to send it out? Rebates are a scam in my opinion. When my grandma bought my TiVo she had to call and harass them for her rebate for like 4 months before they actually sent it.

World Expo of Beer
May 19, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
We went to the World Expo of Beer this weekend I had a really great time! There were so many people in there though that it was hard to get to the different vendors to check the stuff out. We walked in and got a $5.00 souvenir glass for each of us and 10 tickets for each of us. The tickets were a dollar each, and you would turn in a ticket to get your cup filled (which was only 4 oz). I had been wanting to try Bud Light Lime for awhile so I gave that a shot, it was pretty good. The highlight of my beer experience was the Woodchuck Cider company. I tried the various kinds of cider that they had, and they were all awesome but my very favorite kind was the amber brew of cider. I got pretty lit up and just walked around enjoying the company of my friends and the atmosphere. It was really cramped, but I did not see any bad things happening so it was all good!
Anyways heres props to the Woodchuck Cider people, they were really nice and they had good drinks!
Frontier(s)

The After Dark Horror fest’s 8 Films to Die For never disappoints. The newest release of a movie in this series is Frontier(s) which is unrated and it looks awesome. I love the films that are put out by the After Dark Horror Fest. The DVD is available today in many stores. I usually find my horror movies at Best Buy, so you can probably pick it up there.
This movie was actually being played in select theaters, you can check out the select theater listings to see if any of the locations are near you. Unrated and uncut movies are a rare gem to find in a movie theater, so if you have the chance to see it on the big screen make sure you do it!
Frontier(s) is going to be an awesome movie. I am going to have to go to Best Buy this afternoon so that I can finally watch this movie, because I have been waiting for it for awhile. I recommend to any horror fans that you check it out as well. The release date is today Tuesday, May 13th, 2008! Check in the horror section at your local store, and if they do not have it make a request for it, you will be glad that you did!

Fall 2008

I signed up for my fall 2008 classes last night. I decided that I am going to take most of my remaining math classes on campus because it is too hard of a task to do online. I signed up for small business management, marketing seminar, and writing for business. These should be great subjects for me to work on. I should be able to graduate some time next year, which is pretty awesome. I’m not sure what I am going to do after that though, I am going to be in so much debt from these loans!

Pretty Picture!

This picture just makes me think of a really beautiful and carefree vacation. I want to thank NextGen Bartending school for providing such a beautiful picture of a drink. I want to get better at photoshop or something along those lines to create cool pictures out of the ones that I take.

Anyways, enjoy the picture and if it is cold where you are, think warm thoughts because summer is just around the corner, and it is going to be an awesome summer this year!
Renuzit Tri Scents Contest Semi Finals
May 8, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
Recently Renuzit Tri Scents started a contest for people to enter as to why they would like a $20,000 home makeover. I went through the 10 finalists carefully and each one had their own story and in their own right they all needed a home makeover. I chose to vote for the Hiatt’s story because no one deserves to have earthworms in their laundry area! I know the pains of having a terribly wet basement and to have things just start falling to pieces. It seems that once these little things start to break everything starts to break down.
I encourage you to go to the semi-finalist gallery to check out these people’s stories and to vote for the people that you feel deserve it the most. You can vote once a day for your choice every day until June 7th by visiting http://www.triscents.com/gallery.asp. I am going to vote for the Hiatt’s story every day so that she can get that $20,000 home makeover with Tanya Memme.
Renuzit Tri Scents transform the smell of your home into a very pleasant smell. Help one of these people transform their entire home with the Renuzit Tri Scents “Transform your Home with Tanya Memme” contest. $20,000 for home improvement could do a lot! Help someone win this dream by casting your vote!
