Annoyances

I really hate it when companies put out advertising campaigns that are just irritating. I wonder if they realize that they actually end up turning business away because of their horrible ad campaigns. I was just watching television and the deodorant company Secret did a horrible campaign where they follow this girl through the city and she has 5 reasons that she should show off her armpits. It is really irritating because she stops in front of a cop and puts her hands in the air and then just says something stupid. This is not a good campaign!
Alzheimer’s Memory Walk
July 21, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
Alzheimer’s Disease is a very serious problem that has taken many lives, along with many memories. Families dealing with someone with Alzheimer’s disease have it really hard, because they have to watch their loved ones lose their best memories to a horrible disease. The Alzheimer’s Association is always doing things to help raise funds to help rid people of this horrible disease.
If you would like to help with this wonderful cause you could start a Alzheimer’s Memory Walk team, or participate in a local Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. The walk is usually 2-3 miles and is held in fall. You can also directly donate to the Alzheimer’s association if you want to help this worthy cause and just do not have the time to participate in or organize a walk. You can find all the information that you need about setting up a team, going on a walk, or just donating at the Alzheimer’s Association site. Together we can help fight this terrible disease!
Subway Salad

I feel ripped off because I got the deal where you turn your six inch sub into a salad, and the salad was really small and I asked for cucumbers and they gave me like 4 slices. I paid extra to turn it into a salad, and I think I got ripped off. There is usually more stuff on a sammich than what I had on my salad, and there was no bread. Rip off!
Futurama

Futurama ended up being an excellent cartoon, but about the time that it got good it got canceled. Fox has a way of canceling shows that are good like Titus, Greg the Bunny, and a slew of others that I can’t think of off hand. I just wish that they would realize a good thing when they have it!
New York Transportation

I have always looked at New York in movies and thought to myself what a pain it would be to drive anywhere and also to find parking at the destinations. I recently found out that besides taxis a lot of people utilize Dial7.com to get rides all around town. You can get limousine service New Jersey style, along with different high end car services in the New York area. I think it would be wonderful not to worry about a lot of stress while trying to drive somewhere and it would be extra great not to have to worry about parking as well! Whenever you need to travel somewhere in the New York area check out www.Dial7.com to make it the easiest experience possible!
Pool Drinks

I think it is cool how they have come up with a lot of nifty different coolers that will float in your pool, or they would be great also for a tubing trip. I want to get one of these coolers for my mom because she likes to have cold beer on a hot day in the pool. Now that I talked about going tubing I want to go!
Good Holiday

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and productive Independence Day! Mine was actually kind of boring. For some reason the city that I live in decided to go with Cheap-o fireworks so we couldn’t see them where we were at. I didn’t host a party because everyone that I knew was busy. I wish that I would have thought ahead of time about it, I would have had my own shindig here and had good food and stuff. Anyways, hope your days were better than mine =)

Buckeye Bars
July 1, 2008 | Filed Under | No Comments
My mom sent me a postcard from Ohio when she was driving through there and it has a recipe for buckeye bars on it. Buckeye bars are pretty awesome if you love the chocolate and peanut butter combination. I figured I would share the recipe because it is something really easy to make, and would be great for any picnics you are planning on attending this weekend!
Buckeye Bars:
Soften in the microwave and mix together 1 cup of peanut butter and 1 cup of butter. Stir in 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs and 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix well. Pat mixture into bottom of a 9″x13″ pan. On low heat, melt 10 ounces of milk chocolate chips. Stir in 6 tablespoons of cooking oil. Pour over crust and refrigerate for several hours. Cut into bars.
This entire thing took me about a half hour to complete, and they are really good!
