One Week
June 27, 2008 | Filed Under Party, Drink Recipes | No Comments
One week from today it will be July 4th, and the parties will be going all night long! It is awesome when holidays like this actually fall over the weekend. Friday night is going to be a huge party night, so remember to be responsible and find a DD for your partying night!
With that being said here is a nice drink to have at one of your parties that is even kid friendly!
INGREDIENTS:
Ice cubes
Cranberry juice
Wild Berry flavor Gatorade Fierce
Diet 7-Up
Instructions:
1. Fill a clear glass with ice cubes. Pour the drink with the most sugar (check the nutrition label) into the glass. For our red, white, and blue recipe, start with the cranberry juice.
2. Very slowly add a beverage that contains less sugar — in this case, Wild Berry flavor Gatorade Fierce. Be careful to pour it onto an ice cube — not directly into the other drink — to keep them from mixing.
3. Use the same technique to add a layer of Diet 7-Up
Red White and Blue Sangria

I love sangria, it tastes so good on a hot day. I added this recipe because I thought it would be a great drink to serve at any upcoming patriotic party or any party really that is coming up. The ingredients are simple and so are the directions. You are only a half hour away from having an amazing drink that tastes great and will impress even your pickiest of guests!

3/4 cup raspberries
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
Combine all ingredients in a large glass punch bowl or pitcher and stir well. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Serve over ice.

***** ****** ***** *****
This recipe looked wonderful for a hot summer day. It is never too early to start planning your Independence Day celebration, this would be a perfect drink to serve, especially if you added a couple of blueberries to the garnish.
I love anything that is like a smoothie and this seems like it would be tasty and refreshing too! Now I have a drink project for next weekend.
Memorial Day Weekend

For those of you that are hosting something fun this weekend I wanted to provide a recipe (of sorts) for a patriotic looking drink.

The hardest part would be layering it perfect. The ingredients are:
1 part Grenadine
1 Part Peach Schnapps1 part Blue curaçao
Layer the drink in that order! This shot should be a hit at this weekend’s parties!

Key Largo OJ Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
1 part Orange Juice
1 part Tropical Fruit Schnapps
Directions: Add ice and then equal parts of key largo and orange juice. Mix and enjoy!

What an awesome drink to serve on a hot day! It is amazing how neat drinks look when you add whole fruits to them. I do not think that I ever had the tropical fruit schnapps before, I am sure it is awesome. Make up a tray of these at any outdoor party and you are sure to be the host of the year!
Thank you to DrinkSwap.com for the recipe and the image.
Rum and Pepsi
April 30, 2008 | Filed Under Blabber, Keg, Drink Recipes | No Comments
My friend was talking about opening up a bar and we both like Pepsi better than Coke, but she says no one ever orders a rum and Pepsi. I told her that is true but often times if a place has Coke and I ask for a Pepsi they just bring me Coke. I figure that people would not cancel their drink order based on a technicality like that and she says that they will. I want to know what you guys think? If you are a rum and Coke drinker would you drink a rum and Pepsi or would you change your order and never go back to that bar again?

Sex on the Beach Jell-o Shots
April 29, 2008 | Filed Under Amazing, Drink Recipes | No Comments
Ingreds:
1 small package of orange jell-o
1 cup of boiling cranberry juice
3/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup peach schnapps
Mix vodka and schnapps together in a glass. Prepare Orange Jell-o by pouring the powder into a bowl. Pour the boiling cranberry juice over the powder and mix until there is nothing on the bottom. Add the vodka and schnapps mixture. Pour liquid into very small plastic cups (I usually find mine at Gordon’s Food Service) Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
**A can of Ready Whip is always a nice touch while doing Jell-o shots!**
Jell-o shots can always be a great addition to any party, especially summer outdoor parties. One thing to keep in mind is that Jell-o does turn into liquid when it gets warm so either keep them in the fridge or a cooler works too!
