I hope that everyone had a wonderful and productive Independence Day! Mine was actually kind of boring. For some reason the city that I live in decided to go with Cheap-o fireworks so we couldn’t see them where we were at. I didn’t host a party because everyone that I knew was busy. I wish that I would have thought ahead of time about it, I would have had my own shindig here and had good food and stuff. Anyways, hope your days were better than mine =)
Flowers For My Mother’s Day

I love my mom and Mother’s Day is just another opportunity for me to let her know that I appreciate everything that she does. This year for Mother’s Day I will be ordering my mom a beautiful bouquet of flowers because she loves flowers. Easter

My Easter this year was really great. My husband and I went to a nice Easter buffet that actually had really good food. We both ate until we were about ready to explode. I was happy even though my family was out on the road. I am not used to spending Easter with just my husband, but we had a good time and I was really happy with how it turned out. I hope everyone else had a great holiday as well!
Florida Getaway

It is about that time of year again where I get antsy to go on vacation to get out of the nasty cold weather. I love traveling to Florida because it is so pretty there when it is so nasty everywhere else! I found a really cool Lodging Special for a bed and breakfast at Amelia Island where if you buy 2 nights you get the third one free! The deal is only good until February 29th 2008, but the best time to go to Florida is in January or February anyways. It is great when you go to take off in the airplane and they say what the temperature is in Florida!
I have noticed whenever I travel to Florida during the winter, I get much needed sunshine which helps me feel better in general. A couple months of this gray and rainy weather can really get a person down, so if you feel the way that I do it is a great time to book your stay on Amelia Island to get some much needed sunshine and outdoor activities! There is a lot to do on the island, but even if you just want to go there to enjoy the weather that is great too. I want to get in on this deal so I can get out of here!
Awesome Gift Ideas

When I was growing up my parents always seemed to find the coolest Christmas presents for us. It was not just the stuff that we asked for, but sincerely cool things! I was looking for some different items today online, and I found these really cool Plasma Lamps that I think my daughter would love to have in her room. I want to get her the stuff that she asks for, but also it is great to find items like this that I know she would really like!
The site that I was on was www.coolstuffexpress.com and they had loads of fun items. A lot of the items on the site are scientifically geared as well, so it is not only cool it can also be educational! I am pretty excited to have found this site because they have so many neat things, I put it in my favorites because I know that I can find some really neat stuff for my nieces and nephews on here for Christmas as well. I love being able to find great deals and neat things online, that just saved me one trip to Toys R Us during these very hectic Christmas shopping weeks!
Crazy Drivers

Is there something about holiday shopping that turns the driving part of people’s brain into tater tots? As soon as I got out on the road this weekend, people were already driving like it is December. Either that or apparently my car is invisible now, with the amount of people that were turning in front of me or almost running into the side of me maybe my car IS invisible! Anyways, I wanted to rant about people’s driving abilities totally going away during the holiday months.
Flameless Candles

I enjoy the ambiance of candles, and I know that a lot of other people do as well. Candles can make your home look more inviting and pretty. Unfortunately some people are not even allowed to have candles in their homes because of them being a fire risk. My grandmother who lives in an apartment cannot have candles, but she found a way around it when she bought a flameless candle from flamelesscandles.net. Flameless candles flicker, and look just like real candles without the fire hazard being involved!
I went browsing through the flameless candle website, and found flameless window candles. I have always loved it at Christmas time when people have the candles in their windows, it makes homes look beautiful. This is the only way that I would ever put a candle in my window, because otherwise I do not feel like it would be safe.
It is so awesome that these flameless candles were invented; it is so much safer than using real fire in your house. House fires are commonly caused by candles, but with a flameless candle there is no worry about that at all! I found a few different things on this site that I am going to order for my house, and I will probably end up buying a couple more for my Grandmother for Christmas!
LED Christmas Lights

This year LED Christmas lights are the way to go. LED Christmas lights are brighter, they last longer, and they are more durable in general than the old fragile glass bulbs. LED holiday lights operate at only 1 degree above ambient temperature so they do not heat up and become a fire hazard like incandescent lights! This is great for people who really enjoy having their lights on, and do not want to worry about catching their home on fire. They may be a little more expensive than the classic lights, but you will save money on your energy bill, and save on replacement bulbs so it is like an investment! Have Photos Really Enhanced!

I was thinking about doing something cool for my husband for Christmas this year. I would like to take some racy (not naked!) photos of myself, and have photo enhancement done professionally. It is not as expensive as you would think to get professional looking photos done, and you can do it at Fotofix.com! When you get your photos enhanced, they can actually do skin smoothing, complexion evening, body slimming, and tooth whitening on your photo, to make yourself look like a star.
It would be fun to get photos done up like this just for the heck of it, I know I would love to have a few pictures that make me look like a celebrity. I think this is way better than those cheesey glamor shots, because it is just a photo of yourself that is touched up like they do to celebrities in magazines. For some reason I despise those glamor pictures that people get taken, because the clothes that they have you wear are something awful.
It would make a neat Christmas present to take someone’s photo and have it enhanced for them, I think that would be an excellent gift to receive.

Another Hot One!

Since I am sitting here writing snuggled up tight in my froggy blanket, I was just thinking that a warm drink would be awesome. I was looking for different recipes, and I found an interesting one that I thought I would share with you all. Stay warm tonight!
Cran Nero CaffÈ
4 cl Finlandia Cranberry vodka
1 cl Bols Vanilla
coffee
whipped cream
orange
sugar
Rub the rim of a coffee glas with an orange wedge. Sprinkle sugar on the rim.
Add cranberry vodka.
Set the vodka on fire with a match and let it burn until the sugar has burned and stiffend.
Suffucate the fire by putting a plate on top of the glass.
Add hot coffee and Bols Vanilla liqueur.
Decorate with loosely wipped cream and a few dashes orange jucie on the top.
