Lasik Surgery

Have any of you had Lasik Surgery? I am just wondering how bad it hurts, and how great the benefits really are. I really hate waking up in the morning and not being able to find my glasses right away because I really cannot see without them. I have been thinking about this a lot lately, I think I am just too chicken to actually go through with something like this. I am scared of surgery period, even though I know that it is supposed to just be lasers and you stay awake. I am confused on the topic and I would like some input from anyone who has had it done.
